A legal luminary turned politician, Barrister (Hon.) Ademuyiwa Adedeji has stressed the need for the electorate to give a second mandate to Governor Babajide Sanwolu. This will enable him consolidate his achievement in the last four years.
Responding to questions from a group of journalists during a media briefing in his Maryland office, the former Council Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Ademuyiwa Adedeji stated that there is need for the electorate to support the current administration in the Center of Excellence to consolidate his achievement in the state.
As a force to be reckoned with in Lagos APC, Hon. Adedeji x-rayed the success story of the current administration in the state, which spans through all sectors of the economy. He was of the view that Governor Babajide Sanwolu has brought to reality, his campaign promises to the electorate by ensuring the safety of life and properties in the state. He procured additional operational vehicles for the police force to ensure they meet up with their constitutional responsibilities in the state.Funds were also made available to security agencies in the state through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund.
The outspoken former Council Chairman added that Governor Sanwolu completed all abandoned road projects in the state and constructed additional ones in the past four years across various local government, while several other ongoing projects in the state which include Lekki-Epe Expressway in Eti-osa Local Government, Agric-Isawo road in Ikorodu Local Government, Ojota link bridge in Kosofe Local Government, among others.
Hon. Adedeji further added that the governor constructed additional housing scheme in the state, numbering sixteen in the year under review in Ikate, Eti-osa Local Government, Victoria Island, Igbogbo in lkorodu Local Government, among others.
Governor Sanwolu also took keen interest in the health sector of the state by renovating various General Hospitals and further requipped them with modern day facilities. Additional medical personnel were also employed in a bid to provide quality health care system for the people. Barrister Adedeji hinted that governor Sanwolu is determined to generate hundred billion naira annually through agriculture; the Imota 32 metric tons rice mill plant is a pointer to this fact. For high productivity in the Agricultural Sector, training and retraining of farmers has been a reoccurring decimal in the state.
If given the mandate to serve the people of the state for a second term, without any iota of doubt, the governor will put in place a secured future for the people of the state.
